Recently, my family went to Nauvoo, Illinois. We had such great time and took so many pictures, I decided to create a web site about some of our favorite placed in Nauvoo.
For anyone who would like more information about Nauvoo, please see the links below.
I have a few suggestions for anyone planning on visiting Nauvoo.
- Take the wagon ride tour the first thing you do in Nauvoo. The wagon tour is a 1 hr. ride that goes through almost the entire city. By going on the tour first, you will can know what sites interest you the most and can schedule time to visit them individually.
- If you had any ancestors that lived in Nauvoo, be sure to take their names and birth dates with you. The Lands and Records building has computers where you can easily look up these ancestors and be given a free CD that can contains a lot of information about your ancestors. (I got 2 CD's worth of info, including a map of where my ancestors lived.)
- Take a walk down Parley Street. This is the street that the pioneers went down as they left the city for the last time.
