How to download Personal Ancestral File (PAF)
  1. Go to http://www.familysearch.org.
  2. Click on "Order/Download Products."
  3. Click on "Software Downloads - Free."
  4. Click on "Personal Ancestral File 5.2.18.0 - Multi Language (9.7 MB minimum)."
  5. Follow the prompts to the "Download Instructions and Options" page.
  6. The program does come with a users’ guide, but if you are not familiar with the program, you can also download lessons for the program, that are available in the "other options" area near the bottom of this page.
  7. Save the setup program to your desktop.  When the setup program has finished downloading, double click on the "PAF5English Setup" icon to install PAF.
